Ana Gonzales bio

Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson comes from a musical family. The music she grew up with was classical, old boleros as well as classic romantic songs and the Ranchero style. Ana is a lover of tangos and opera, and any dramatic performance. Her mother teaches her how to sing. However, she started intensive singing lessons through Flavio Belcerra at 16 when he was a renowned Mexican opera tenor. The musical training continued with the School of Music of the University of Guadalajara, and afterwards to the School of Sacred Music in Toluca, Mexico. While a student, and when she was a professional young at the time in Mexico City and Guadalajara she performed with various chamber groups and choruses. She was a member of the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus in the United States before moving to Southern California. She is a frequent soloist at events, private parties and other occasions singing traditional Latin American Music. Her love and passion for art, music, and performing has her involved in many local projects as a teacher and performer. Ana was also a member of both the Community Chorus of Redlands and Inland Master Chorale. She is now a teacher at The Performance Loft. Ana feels privileged to be able share with others her passion for the traditional Latin American music. She hopes that this will help younger generations preserve the traditions.
