Rosalia
Rosalia Vila is a Spanish flamenco singer and pop artist. Since her teenage years she has been involved in popular music and flamenco. She also explores different genres such as hip-hop soul and trap. Pepe Haichuela, a flamenco guitarist and well-known musician, has described the sound of the young singer as sassy and sweet however with a bite. El Mal Querer gained her critical acclaim and commercial success when her debut album Los Angeles was released in the year 2017. It earned it an award called the Latin Grammy Award for Best New Artist. The single La Fama featuring the Weeknd came out in 2021. Motomami was her third full-length album. It featured collaborations on songwriting with other musicians and producers, such as Cory Henry. The release came in March 2022 following an appearance of the single Chicken Teriyaki on Saturday Night Live. Rosalia was the first Spanish singer to sing as a solo performer on the show. Motomami's Rosalia, who won The Latin Album of the Year as well as three Latin Grammy Awards in total for Motomami and was the first female to win one.
