Madhuri Dixit

Madhuri dixit is an acclaimed Indian actress, best famous for her role in Beta Saajan, and Hum Aapke Hai Koun, and Beta Saajan. In the late 80s the actress began her acting career. She became famous for her role as Tezaab which she played alongside an established actor Anil Kapooor. In the next film, Dil, Aamir Khan appeared as well. As a young child growing up in the middle class of Mumbai, she learned to dance. At the age of 15 began acting, but had a difficult time as a majority of her films were flops. Eventually, she found success with Indian cinema and rose to the very top. After her marriage, she took some time off from acting before returning. Dixit played an important role as a lead actress in Gulaab Gang, a film that explores the struggles of women in India. Dixit received fifteen Filmfare Awards nominations, of which, eight were awarded. Padma Shri is the fourth highest civilian honor in India. She is also recognized for her charity work.
